What is MBA?

MBA (Masters of Business Administration) is a postgraduate degree that is awarded to a student who has acquired business knowledge. It is perfect for someone who wants to make a career in the business world. This degree option is available for those students who have completed their bachelor’s and wish to pursue masters or higher studies. MBA programs study the theory and application of business and management principles to real-world business processes and operations.

 

Following are the types of MBA:-

 

1. Full time 2 year MBA:- This program is a full-time four-semester course spread over two years. This is the most commonly studied program by students which includes various activities related to challenges involved in day-to-day business affairs.

 

2. Full time 1 year MBA:- This program is of 11- 15 months duration. Universities have some strict work and academic requirements to complete this degree in a short time frame.

 

3. Part-time MBA:- Part-time program often consists of evening classes, where you can decide how many classes you want to attend each semester. Most students complete this program in 4 to 5 years.

 

4. Online MBA:- Online MBA program provides flexible hours and costs spread over a longer period. In this program, you can schedule classes at your own pace within your personal and professional commitments. Online MBA course format includes live web conferences in virtual classrooms, recorded lectures that will suit your time constraints.

 

5. Executive MBA:- This program is designed for working professionals who are willing to enter the leadership market in the business world. The program takes place mostly on Fridays and Saturdays or on alternate weekends. The course completion takes place in two years or less.

 

6. Global MBA:- This program is recommended for those experienced professionals who want to gain a global perspective of business studies and leadership and the students with some professional experience who want to pursue an MBA from an international university to build their network amongst a global student body.

 

The major difference in all the above types of MBA is the time required in the completion of each program.
