After completing my undergraduate studies in 2015, I was selected to work as a Hotel Management Trainee at JW Marriott, Mumbai through the college’s campus placement drive. During the traineeship, I worked in the digital marketing department of JW Marriott. I managed all social media channels and led successful campaigns on social media. I also handled campaigns with media publications such as Travel + Leisure, Conde Nast Traveller, Nat Geo Traveller, and Lonely Planet, etc. I was absorbed by JW as Marketing Communications-Executive in 2016. I worked on many initiatives creating a strong connection with other elite lifestyle influencers in India. I assisted the Marketing Manager on Event Organization, Brand Associations. I helped the team to enhance the social media presence of JW through Print and Social Media Outreach.

In 2018, I started working as the Assistant Manager, Marketing Communications for the Taj Hotels. As an Assistant Manager, I handled a team of 5 people who were working on rigorous social media campaigns, paid promotions, media tie-ups, and all kinds of corporate and eCommerce communications.

The hospitality industry is one area where a large number of managers and chefs have become entrepreneurs and successful owners of their own businesses. The greatest motivation for me in applying to the 'Hospitality and Tourism operations management' is an opportunity it presents me to travel, meet new people and help hotels strengthen their global presence. This sector has grown leaps and bounds over the years and has promising growth potential. I believe that a PG course will help me to achieve my ultimate goal, which is to develop myself to establish a career as a manager of a big concern or become an entrepreneur. To fulfill this goal, however, I must develop my knowledge required to pilot major problems in this industry and learn to solve complex issues through an integrated approach.

Finally, my perception brought me to the next step to head with an advanced PG program in the field of hospitality. This program will allow me to deepen my knowledge and understand the strong concepts of events. This will also prepare me as a distinctive candidate to compete with thousands of hospitality professionals. Being exposed to the obstacles my mother faced due to the lack of formal education has been my primary motivation for reaching my goal by not only obtaining a degree but heading with a post-graduate course in order to raise my standards. This will also enable me to gain employment at a higher level in my chosen field, in terms of my career. The quest for excellence is the motivation to study abroad.

My ultimate goal would be to engage hoteliers, travel entrepreneurs, and luxury brand owners in creating a reputation for their businesses. I am confident of overcoming every challenge faced by renowned brands to sustain the fiercely competitive hospitality markets in different regions of the world. In the long-term, I aim to work with exclusive brands where my customer-oriented approach, solution-centric attitude, and articulate communication skills will help the hotels create a loyal customer base and a remarkable impression in the hospitality industry. I would want to work independently as well as collaborate with hotels for implementing impactful business strategies and ideas.

Switzerland is one of the most beautiful places on this planet with thousands of tourists visiting every year. There is no better place to study advanced studies in the field of hospitality. It is home to world-class heritage hotels well-known for their lavish and plush offerings. Staying in Switzerland as an international student will be a transforming experience for me with respect to professionalism and technical expertise. The reason why I wanted to pursue my higher education in Switzerland is that it has an international reputation as a provider of excellent hospitality education and training. In particular, Swiss hotel management programs are recognized by the industry as being of exceptional quality.
