What is Robotics Engineering?

Literally 'Robot' means a slave, but scientifically it is an electro-mechanical device that follows a computerised coded set of instructions to carry out certain tasks without human intervention. Robots have a role to play across industries and various fields. To name a few, mechanical industry, industrial engineering, automation, healthcare, military, manufacturing, agriculture, artificial intelligence, etc. The use of robots depend on the functions it is been programmed to carry out. Robotics Engineering is a multi-disciplinary branch which covers Electrical and Mechanical Engineering. The mechanism that builds robots is called Robotics Engineering. Robotics engineers design, and build robots in a cost effective manner, needless to say, to save time, money, and energy consumed by humans to perform the same function, which is the very basis for the innovation of Robots.
