Ontario Graduate Scholarship

Every academic session, the Ontario government and Ontario institutions work together to support the brightest students enrolling in master's and doctorate programmes. The Ontario Graduate Scholarship is worth USD 3,775 per semester.

1. The Ontario Graduate Scholarship (OGS) provides 22 merit-based scholarships to

    students from diverse academic areas.

2. The province assigns OGS prizes to Canadian universities and specifies the amount of

awards that will be granted each year.

3. Each university's graduate section is in charge of the application procedure and

   application evaluation.

4.The scholarship is for a minimum of two semesters and a maximum of three

   semesters.

5. Academic excellence, research potential, leadership qualities, and other factors are

   used to make decisions.

The government of Ontario contributes two-thirds of the total scholarship sum of 15000 CAD every year, with the university providing the remaining one-third. The Ontario Graduate Scholarship is non-transferable and must be kept at the institution to which it was awarded.
