What is the difference between Psychology and Psychiatry?
Psychology is the study of the infinite analogies of the human mind and the various factors involved in the working of the mind under different external, social, behavioral, emotional circumstances. Psychiatry studies the working of the mind from the perspective of its connection with the body, especially the brain. Psychologists are trained to counsel, conduct therapies, mold the thinking and reacting patterns in mentally unstable people (not necessarily diagnosed with a mental disorder). Psychiatrists, however, are licensed medical practitioners (doctors) who prescribe medicines, therapies, and treatments to heal mental or psychiatric conditions and help these patients recover and /or deal with mental health issues.
