FUTURE PROSPECTS Post-graduation study is the most common option that graduates pick-up as a master’s degree helps in raising future job prospects. Some Geology courses have an integrated Master’s degree that allows you to complete your post-graduation with an additional year. As a student, if you want a career in research or to be a university lecturer, you need to do a Ph.D. in the relevant area of choice in Geology. As Geologist, one learns about the Earth's composition and processes, additionally, you'll develop key teamwork, communication, and analytical skills, all of which are valued by employers across many job sectors. 

Job options directly related to your degree: Engineering geologist, well-site geologist, geotechnical advisor, geoscientist, geochemist, etc.

There are varied fields where your Geology degree can be useful: They include quarry manager, mineral ore surveyor, environmental engineer/ consultant, drilling engineer for OPEC companies, etc. where your key job would be to predict and/ or study the sustainability of a project.  British universities usually offer integrated courses.
