A point to remember here is that it is not mandatory to fulfil all the criteria mentioned above but it is important that you have the willingness to develop these qualities over time as any hotel management personnel will be assessed according to these requirements. Service industry jobs can be demanding and exhausting, but as the saying goes there is no shortcut to success. Hence, once you gather enough experience it will be the most enjoyable field to work in.

A degree in Hotel management will make you qualified to work as Hotel Managers, client relations manager, marketing communications manager, chefs, housekeepers, servers, stewards, bar-tenders and even as cruise attendants, cabin crew, or airport ground staff.

Globalisation has expanded horizons of hotel/ hospitality management industry to unimaginary levels. People are travelling, dining, partying and socialising more than before. No noticeable effect of inflation and employment has been observed on the Hotel and hospitality industry.

Apart from degree courses there are also many job-oriented, certificate and diploma programs that can be pursued directly after completing Higher secondary schooling. Different institutes and universities offer a variety of programs at all levels including specialised courses for Culinary Arts, Bar-tending, Housekeeping and serving. Hotel and Hospitality industry is by nature related to the Travel and Tourism industry, aviation and shipping industries. A degree in Hotel management will open doors for jobs in all these service oriented industries. These industries are growing across the globe and they have large share in the world economy.
