McGill University Scholarships

McGill University is dedicated to assisting international students with their study and stay in Canada, one of the most sought-after countries for higher education. McGill University granted 119 million CAD in scholarships, fellowships, and bursaries for the 2017-2018 academic year. Students in the Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctoral programmes are eligible for a variety of McGill University scholarships, including entry and in-course studentships.

It is one of the few Canadian colleges that awards the majority of its scholarships to current students rather than new students. Furthermore, 95 percent of McGill University Scholarships are provided on the basis of the application for admission to McGill University.

International students are also eligible for government-based scholarships in addition to McGill University scholarships. This is particularly true for master's and doctoral candidates, who are more likely to be granted McGill in-course fellowships than admission scholarships.
