2 Japanese Government Scholarships Citizens of countries with diplomatic relations with Japan. Bachelor’s Degree Japanese Government

It covers tuition and other fees, allowance of 117,000 yen/ month, travel costs to and from Japan, a monthly stipend of 2,000 or 3,000 yen may be provided to those undertaking study or research in specially designated regions.


The scholarship period will last for five years.

 
3 Joint Japan World Bank Graduate Scholarship Program Students from developing nations Masters Degree Japan Gov’t/World Bank

It provides for tuition, a monthly stipend, returns airfare, and, travel allowance, health insurance.

 

Duration: Program duration or two years, whichever is less.

 
4 Japanese Government Scholarships for International Research Students Citizens of countries with diplomatic relations with the Japan Masters/Ph.D. Degree Japanese Government

It grants an allowance of 143,000-145,000 yen/ month



The scholarship includes an allowance of 143,000-145,000 yen per month, stipend of 2,000 or 3,000 yen may be provided to those undertaking esearch in specially designated regions, fees, & travel costs to and from Japan,.

 
5 Japan-IMF Scholarships for Asians Candidates from listed Asian countries Masters (MS) Degree Funded by Government of Japan, administered by the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

Scholarships provide for tuition fees, a monthly stipend (including the housing allowance and medical/accident insurance) 1 round-trip air-ticket,  visa application costs, testing fees, and book-shipping costs. 


The scholarship covers 1 year. 


The scholarship can be renewed for 2nd year based on academic performance along with the university’s recommendation and a nomination by a scholar’s sponsoring agency.

 
6 Japan Human Resource Development Scholarships (JDS) Citizens of Kyrgyz Republic, Mongolia, Philippines, Laos, Myanmar, Republic of Tajikistan, Bangladesh, Vietnam, Republic of Uzbekistan, and Cambodia. Masters (MS) Degree Japanese Government

It covers institution expenses (tuition fees, admission fees), traveling, book, and seminar allowance, accommodation, and arrival, shipping allowance, daily expenses, etc. 

 
7 ADB-Japan Scholarship Program for Developing Countries in Asia and Pacific   Masters Degree ADB (Asian Development Bank-Japan) / Japan Government

300 scholarships are offered annually.


It grants full tuition fees, an allowance for books and instructional materials, medical insurance, travel expenses,  a monthly subsistence, and housing allowance.

The scholarship is for 1 year extendable to the 2nd year of study, if the candidate maintains good academic performance 

Maximum duration is 2 years for masters and doctorate programs.

 
8 Fully-Funded Rotary Peace Fellowships 2020-2021 Anyone endorsed by their local Rotary District.

Rotary International It covers internship and field-study expenses, tuition and fees, round-trip transportation, room and board expenses.
9 The National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies (GRIPS) Scholarships Mid-career public officials from developing countries as well as other countries eligible under the scheme. Masters/Ph.D. Degree GRIPS- The National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies

Over 90% of GRIPS students are granted full scholarships. 


It includes:

monthly stipend, application fee, transportation costs, insurance, admission fee, 

other miscellaneous expenses, medical treatment, and tuition fee and air tickets between home country and Japan on joining and returning after studies.

Allowances vary for every scholarship.

 
10 JFUNU Scholarships for Ph.D. in Sustainability Science Nationals of developing countries  listed in OECD DAC list Ph.D. Programme in Sustainability Science JFUNU- United Nations University Institute for the Advanced Study of Sustainability

It covers a monthly allowance of 120,000 JPY for a maximum of 36 months. 


Full tuition fees are waived for the scholarship holders.

 
11 Canon Foundation Research Fellowships European and Japanese researchers Ph.D. Degree Canon Foundation

Partial Funding of 22,500 Euro to 27,500 Euro/ year 22,500 Euro to 27,500 Euro/ year and pro-rata.


Duration: minimum period of 3 months up to maximum of 1 year.


Every grants up to 15 Fellowships.
