BACHELOR'S PROGRAM AT AMERICAN UNIVERSITY

 

• Located in Washington DC, United States, American University offers highly ranked schools and globally recognized faculty with a smooth balance between class – time and career development experience.

• General requirements for admission

 

- Students can apply for admission from the common/coalition/online application portal.

 - The applicant must have passed high school/secondary school (12th) with good grades (minimum GPA of 2.5) with academics including the following subjects – English, Mathematics (including the equivalent of Algebra and Geometry), Laboratory Science, Social Science, and Foreign Language.

 - Official transcripts of previous education from school, college, and other certificate courses. 

- English proficiency test scores – TOEFL/IELTS/PTE. Standardized tests like the SAT and ACT are also accepted here.

- Application of International Student Financial Aid.

- Essay – describing your academics and purpose to choose the course, etc.

- Two letters of recommendation from teachers and counselors respectively.

- Resume.

• Tuition fees and other expenses

 

- Tuition fees for bachelor's degree courses at American University can cost in the range of $43000 to $49000 depending on the programs (business and management courses may cost on the expensive side) for the 1st academic year.

 

- Hostel and meals can cost around $15000 while books and supplies can cost up to $800. Activity fee, student technology fee can collectively cost around $370. 

 

- Transportation costs can go around $700 and a metro u-pass can cost around $270. Insurance can cost up to $2000. So, total expenses including tuition fees can cost around $65000 for the 1st academic year.
