BACHELOR'S ABROAD PROCEDURE

1. Research:-

There are definitely many questions you will be having when you plan for studying abroad. Make a list and go through every point in detail. Get all details about the chosen country, resources, currency, top universities, international students’ ratio, quality of education, employment rate, etc. The planning part must start roughly around 12-15 months prior to the admission deadlines. While researching, keep your choices open, you might end up choosing a field or a scholarship which may increase your chances further. The more you will research or engage in counseling, the more secure you will feel for the rest of the journey.

2. Prepare Finances:-

The most delicate and important part is the arrangements of funds. The total expenses for an undergraduate degree in a country like the US are around $15,000 to $25,000 per year. This surely varies as per your selection of the university, location, and personal expenses. You must convince your parents about your passion for studying abroad because at an initial level these expenses are to be prepared on your own. Then, according to your budget, you can make changes in your plan and choose your study path. However, you can search for scholarship grants and other financial aid for international students that are provided by many universities.

3. Shortlist Universities for Bachelor’s:-

While planning, make up your mind about your favorite subjects. This might be the time to find your interest and academics strengths. Based on that, search universities that provide bachelor’s degree programs related to those subjects. Shortlist all the universities based on their Rankings, reviews from students, acceptance ratio, accreditation, financial aid, internship opportunities, faculty, placement rate, location, fees, extracurricular activities, etc. Searching universities and getting the correct information is a lengthy process and involves proper counseling, so take your time while you are on this step.

It is not important that the best and famous university will fulfill all your requirements for your desired degree program. Also, not all foreign universities are the best in terms of quality education and rankings. So, check the university that suits your program as well as other criteria that are important for you. Further, check the eligibility requirements of the program you are choosing, as the requirements vary as per the selection of the program. You must also make note of the admission deadlines of each of the universities you are planning to send your application.

5. Requesting Application forms:-

You can download the application form from the official websites of your desired universities. In some cases, you have to request for an application form or application material through email. The application form contains all the required information like fees, application deadline, minimum test score needed, recommendation letters, etc. In this process, you can filter the universities which don’t seem to match your requirements or other academic details.
